On Monday 30 October 2017 we hosted clients in a cocktail event at the Kigali serena Hotel to thank them for their continued support and trust towards the bank, the same event was an occasion for the Bank to introduce to the clients the New Managing Director Mr. Maurice K. Toroitich and New chairman of board Prof Njuguna Ndung’u.
The event that started at 5pm saw the attendance of BPR's corporate clients, board members, senior management staff.

Addressing the guests sanjeev anand said “i want to thank all of you for coming, you have supported me while i was here and am certain you will do the same to my successor, i have made alot of friends here….am leaving but i will still be coming back to Rwanda and will be meeting most of you because am still with Atlas mara and BPR is one of our strong banks that we will be putting much focus on”

As you might be aware we are now part of atlas mara, this means that we are now a global brand with enough capital, part of what we have done is to set up a very strong corporate unit , we now have enough funds to finance all your business needs….we can now finance any project regardless of the size try us”

Maurice introduced the chairman of board of directors, Prof Njuguna Ndung’u who is formerly the governor of the central bank of Kenya who is behind the success of M-pesa by safaricom a successful mobile money platform that has become a case study for financial inclusion in the word.
Addressing the guests Prof Ndungu said “while at the central bank of Kenya, i was involved as a policy maker and regulator, but now being a chairman of board is different…. It means i will now look more on the customers’ side, to make the customers’ banking experience easy and seamless, our first goal is to make sure BPR becomes the leading digital bank in Rwanda and in the region, digitising the banking industry will enhance efficiency and serve customers more effectively”
